Climbing close to 1,000 metres of sheer rock face, solo, without ropes and with death waiting at every turn, is the subject of 'Free Solo'. The film, co-produced by Jimmy Chin and among the candidates for an Oscar, focuses on young climber Alex Honnold in his bid to complete the free solo ascent of the spectacular "El Capitan" rockface in Yosemite Natural Park, California.
