Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been one of the most famous serials in recent times. Bhavya Gandhi who plays the character of Tapu in the serial has now quit the show. Bhavya Gandhi who is known for his smart stints in the serial is now on the look out for new opportunities. Bhavya Gandhi confirmed the news of his exit and said that he has had a fruitful experience of over eight years. The makers also stated, 'Bhavya was part of the show for eight years and has grown up with it. As the show progressed naturally, he was shown as a college going kid. However, Bhavya couldn't act as a college student or a grown-up. The director was wondering how to develop the character because Bhavya didn't change his technique. So, he asked him to brush up on his skills. However, he opted to take up a Gujarati film instead.'
