Salman's Jai Ho fails to beat Dhoom 3!

Salman Khan's film Jai Ho had a slow start and failed to beat the record of Aamir's Dhoom 3, on its opening day. Jai Ho just managed to garner Rs 17.55 crore on its opening day and on Saturday the figure fell further to 16.25 crores. Compared to which, Dhoom 3 managed a whopping 33 crore on its 1st day itself!
In an interview after the film released, Salman said that it's the hero of the movie who fails. He added that if the collections are not good, it's his fault because he failed to bring his fans inside the theatres.
Jai Ho's opening day collection is Salman's lowest opening till date! Jai Ho, which released across five thousand screens in the domestic market was one of the most awaited films of 2014. And although it did well in single screens, it couldn't do well in multiplexes.
On Friday, the occupancy was just 40 per cent and Saturday was 50 per cent. Sunday's morning shows saw around 80 per cent attendance. Going by the performance, Jai Ho will probably touch 100 crore in a week, but not in the first three days of its release.
