The South Korean government will increase its purchases of select products from small and medium-sized businesses in a bid to boost their sales. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups said some small businesses make competitive products,... but don't sell as much as they should... because they aren't well-known on the market. The government intends to buy huge quantities from the firms to promote the products on the wider market to give them a sales boost. Last year, the government purchased products for roughly 24 million U.S. dollars. This year, it will set aside 180 million dollars for the purchases.
