국내 첫 비건 전시회 서울에서 개최

With growing interest in the environment and animal rights in the country, the first vegan fair in Korea's history has opened in Seoul.
It offers delicious food items as well as cruelty-free products you can use in your daily life.
Oh Soo-young takes us there.
It's a plant-based paradise here at the Yangjae aT Center in southern Seoul.
The Vegan Festa exhibition opened here on Friday-- the first-ever vegan fair to take place in the country.
"I like the fact that I can buy and eat anything here without having to check the ingredients or how it was made."
"These days when I was actually staying in Korea, I went to one or two vegetarian restaurants there. At that time, the taste was not that good. I have tasted few foods here and the taste is becoming better and better every day."
It's not just vegetarian food and snacks on display.
There are all kinds of items that are made without the use of animal products, from kimchi and stir-fried dishes to soaps, fashionable handbags and fake-fur coats.
"Fur clothes are popular because they're so beautiful but the truth behind their making is shockingly tragic. We use European fabrics to create fake fur to put an end to the extreme pain and cruelty that the animals suffer."
The exhibition comes amid the growing interest in environmental protection and animal rights in the country.
"There are about 10 million Koreans who have vegetarian diets, 500-thousand who are vegans, and the numbers are quickly growing. We hope, through this event, responsible consumption and veganism will grow in Korea."
"The exhibition will run till Sunday so there's plenty of time for you to stop by over the weekend and try out some vegan food and products.
Oh Soo-young, Arirang News."
