Velayudham Tamil Movie features Vijay, Genelia, and Hansika. Directed by M. Raja, produced by V. Ravichandran and music by Vijay Antony. Santhanam, Saranya, Soori and Abhimanyu Singh play supporting roles in Velayutham.

The film revolves around a villager Velayudham aka Velu (Vijay) who arrives in the city to collect money, is forced to take upon the disguise of superhero and starts to eradicate the illegal things that pertain within the society. In the process, he loses his younger sister (Saranya Mohan). The rest of the story is how Velu avenges the loss of his sister and thwarts the plans of an evil minister who is behind the misdeeds.
