Kathukutti Tamil movie Karuppu Vella Song features Narain and Srushti Dange in the lead roles along with Soori. Directed by R. Saravanan and produced by Ramkumar, music is by Aruldev.

Kathukutti begins with Arivazhagan aka Arivu (Narain) stopping the tasildar from approving a methane extraction project. He is the son of local politician Santhanam (Jayaraj) who has never been a candidate in an election. And much against his wishes, his party, in an effort to target youngsters, announces Arivu as the candidate for the local body elections. The rival party, too, responds by putting in a young, educated candidate. Who wins the election is the crux of the story.
