Sathuranga Vettai is a 2-14 Tamil Black Comedy - Heist Film. Sathuranga Vettai songs are composed by Sean Roldan. The film stars Cinematographer Natarajan Subramaniam and Ishara Nair in lead roles.
The movie is based on real life scams like Multi Level marketing (MLM) scam, temple heists, EMU chicken con etc. To start with, Natraj cons Ilavarasu with ordinary snake and claims it as exotic and it would fetch millions in the international market. Next Natraj shifts his focus to MLM to con people who wish to earn quick money. Only then the innocent bubbly Ishara Nair joins Natraj. Though Ishara joins Natraj as an employee but he motivates her to be the marketing ambassador of his MLM Company to attract people. At one point he is trapped and caught by the police and tortured and presented in court. Natraj uses his money and influence to drag the case and gets acquitted. Natraj is taken into custody but a thug with his group of henchmen to get the money from Natraj lost by a victim in EMU chicken scam. Now Natraj has only two options, either to escape from them smartly or work with them to make big money to repay the victim. So Natraj devises the fifty percent Gold sale discount scam and makes big money. Natraj tricks and makes the thug to get caught by the police. But the thug gets out on bail using influence. Meanwhile, Ishara Nair who is pregnant with Natraj’s child is hold hostage by the thug and Karthi’s Naan Mahan Alla fame Ramachandran Durairaj stands guard at Natraj’s house. Natraj again in thug’s custody now designs the final plan to make big money. Natraj plans to con a big shot using ‘rice pulling’ scam. Director Vinoth needs to be applauded for his picturising the behind-the-scenes work of how conmen design and execute the plan of deceiving people. Natraj and team make big money out of it. Conflict arises on dividing the loot and the thug decide to eliminate Natraj but Natraj gains the upper hand. When Natraj realizes the money alone doesn’t give happiness, is it too late, as, Ramachandran Durairaj had already been issued instructions to Natraj’s wife, Ishara Nair. Natraj s the thug and gang and runs off to save Ishara Nair. Will he succeed is the movie climax.
