Agathiyar was the first to write a treatise on Tamil grammar. This movie depicts few episodes in the life of the great sage Agathiyar (played by Seergazhi Govindarajan). Due to the congregation of all the three world people at the wedding of Lord Shiva (AVM Rajan) there was an imbalance leading to a tilt. To balance the tilt the Lord sends Agathiyar to the southern part of the country. The Lord also promises Agathiyar that he would appear before him whenever he wishes to see him. Thus Agathiyar sets his journey southwards to restore world's equilibrium. The picture narrates his journey southward.
