Trump Calls For Clean Up Of 'Disgusting' San Francisco Streets

President Trump on Sunday targeted San Francisco in a tweet.
President Trump has slammed Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the city of San Francisco where her district is located.
He tweeted Sunday: "Nancy Pelosi has behaved so irrationally & has gone so far to the left that she has now officially become a Radical Democrat. She is so petrified of the 'lefties' in her party that she has lost control...And by the way, clean up the streets in San Francisco, they are disgusting!"
The post was made amid the ongoing partial government shutdown prompted by the Democrats' unwillingness to fund Trump's $5.7 billion border wall.
Tensions have risen between the president and Pelosi as a result, including her suggestion to postpone his annual State of the Union address and his decision to block her use of military aircraft for an overseas trip.
Aside from the current conflict over the wall, Trump has long been unpopular in San Francisco.
In fact, when Trump was elected president, the city's Board of Supervisors passed a resolution stating, in part: "San Francisco will remain a Sanctuary City...This is the Golden Gate—we build bridges, not walls."
That said, the city is currently struggling with the cleanliness of its streets given the drop in affordable housing and increasing homeless population.
