The notification and fresh guidelines from Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) tried to clarify the entire issue of angel tax but when it comes to the reading that Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has taken from it. Sources said that the fresh DIPP do not give immunity to existing cases where tax notices have already gone to start-ups.
