According to a report by Business Insider, on Saturday, a partial shutdown of the federal government entered its fourth week, making it the longest on record, over a dispute regarding border security that has put large swaths of the economy at risk. On Friday, Congress approved a bill that ensures back pay for furloughed employees, but it must still be signed into law and would not be distributed until after the shutdown ends.
