Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu paid tribute to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Rashtriya Smriti Sthal in New Delhi on Tuesday. They arrived here to attend a prayer meeting held on former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 94th birth anniversary. Vajpayee led the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) from 1998 to 2004. Vajpayee became Prime Minister thrice-briefly in 1996, twice in 1998 and 1999 and then in 2004. He passed away on August 16, 2018 in Delhi after a prolonged illness.
