The Korea Exchange announced the local stock market's last trading day of the year will be next Friday. Trading will resume on January 2nd... but markets will open an hour later than usual, at 10 a.m. local time. The changes will affect the benchmark KOSPI, the tech heavy KOSDAQ as well as derivative markets. For those expecting to be paid dividends this year, the ex-dividend date for listed firms, whose fiscal year-end is coming up,... is next Thursday.
