Dust levels soar in South Korea _ 121718

Good morning, temperatures are starting off a lot milder today and daily highs will also be a couple of notches higher than the seasonal norms,... in fact we can expect unseasonably mild air staying with us through the week. We might not need a thick jacket but will need to keep a face mask handy.

Warm westerly winds have also brought toxic dust from China. An ultra fine dust advisory has been issued in Incheon, and smog alerts could expand to more regions as the entire nation will be dealing with very bad air quality. Expect to see high levels of fine dust through the week.

Mostly sunny skies are expected to dominate and daily highs in the northern regions will be a couple of notches higher while southern provinces will see readings similar to yesterday.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

South Korea will be blanketed with high levels of ultra fine dust this Monday while North Korea will be under lots of sunshine with highs in the low single digits.
