Back in October 2013, these males were reported by Tintswalo Safari Lodge as being part of a large pride of lions, called Birmingham or Orpen pride. They consisted of 22 Lions, of which were several young males, and are related to the Koppies and Mbiri females.

There were originally 5 in the coalition, but the one known to many as Scrapper or Tokoloshe was found dead on Buffelshoek property on April 24, 2016. Birmingham male lions are knighted as Nsuku, Nhenha, Tinyo and Mfumo. Currently, Mfumo is the biggest among them.
