Beyoncé, Jay-Z and More Honor Nelson Mandela at Global Citizen Festival The festival, honoring the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's birth, took place in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Dec. 2. Beyoncé and Jay-Z performed a
scaled-down version of 'On The Run II,'
full of crowd-pleasing hits. Queen Bey also delivered a surprise performance of "Halo," accompanied by a local choir. Ed Sheeran joined Beyoncé
to perform "Perfect Duet." Other performers who took part include Pharrell Williams,
Kacey Musgraves, Eddie Vedder,
Chris Martin and Usher. The festival was hosted by Trevor Noah of 'The Daily Show,' who grew
up in Soweto,
