Attorney General: 'No unilateral right' to end backstop

The Northern Ireland backstop provisions of the government's EU withdrawal agreement would come into force even if talks between the UK and the European Union broke down, according to Geoffrey Cox QC MP. The Attorney General said in his statement in the House of Commons on Monday that "there is no unilateral right for either party to terminate this agreement." Report by Jonesia.
