America's obsession with food TV has never been greater. But in an opinion piece for Uproxx, writer Zach Johnston argues the genre has also left indigenous peoples entirely out of the picture. Using Netflix's 'Chef's Table' as an example, one episode featuring chef Cristina Martinez was "confounding" for being framed as if the food and the chef are bringing something from “another” country to a new place--as if corn would actually need to be "smuggled in" from Mexico.
