Starting December, drones will deliver Automated External Defibrillators in case of emergencies inside national parks. These so-called "ambulance drones" can save lives by reaching those having a heart attack in the mountains within the golden time. When there is a report of an emergency, these machines can use GPS to deliver the emergency equipment. National parks will also begin using patrol drones that can make warning announcements if they monitor illegal activities such as trash-dumping. The patrol drone can use their thermal imaging cameras and search lights to prevent accidents. The ambulance drones will first be used on Bukhansan... Mountain and the patrol drones in Taeanhaean..., Hallyeohaesang... and Byeonsanbando... national parks.
