Thirteen undeclared missile bases have been identified in North Korea via satellite imagery, according to a report by the Beyond Parallel programme of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a Washington-based think tank. The sites are reportedly “active and reasonably well maintained”, and the most powerful military instruments are believed to be missiles able to strike the US. The revelations seem to undermine North Korea’s denuclearisation pledges made to the US in June.
