Chhattisgarh Assembly Election 2018: High Pitch battle in CM's Bastion

A week before goes to Chhattisgarh; we deep dive into the state where the BJP is campaigning for a fourth straight term. Chhattisgarh will have a 2 phase election where the first phase will be held on 12th of November and Chief Minister Raman Singh's seat Rajnandgaon will also come in this phase. The Congress has put Karuna Shukla, niece of late PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee against the Chief Minister of the five states that will go to polls. The one state where BJP top brass is most confident of is Chhattisgarh. Home to a large Naxal belt, a state where BJP faces opposition which is still grappling for a credible, tall leader with an alternative vision and the Congress has described Ajit Jogi as the team of BJP, it is the rivalries within its fold that the grand old party needs to brace for. Scenes in Bilaspur and Raipur were telling about the internal bickering. Then question is this, is Chhattisgarh an election all about the BJP? Has the congress learnt any lessons since 2013? Let's take a look at some facts.
