Asthana corruption case: DSP Devendar Kumar arrested in Rakesh Asthana case

The ongoing internal war within the CBI has escalated with the arrest of DSP Devendar Kumar, who, along with Special Director Rakesh Asthana, has been accused of taking Rs. 3 crore in bribes from a businessman Sathish Babu Saba. The DSP was arrested and an FIR was registered for fabricating statement of a witness while investigating the Moin Qureshi case. He will be produced in court today. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval met CBI director Alok Verma to ensure govt's image was not tarnished.
