Campaigners call for urgent action over rising noise levels

At any given moment, some 10,000 planes are in the air around the world. More than half of those are above the United States. And that means noise. A lot of it. Campaigners in the Pacific Northwest are particularly worried about the impact of military aircraft flying over wilderness areas, and are calling for urgent action.
