Samsung Electronics opens artificial intelligence research center in Montreal

Samsung Electronics announced on Friday that it has opened a new artificial intelligence research center in Montreal, Canada, a growing AI hub for global IT companies.
The new center will research core Artificial Intelligence technologies such as machine learning and robotics, and will be headed by Professor Gregory Dudek from the McGill University School of Computer Science.
It is Samsung Electronics' seventh AI research center, and its second in Canada. The tech giant also has a center in Toronto, as well as research centers in the U.K., Silicon Valley and New York.
