President Trump on Monday tweeted on the case of missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

President Trump on Monday announced in a tweet that he's spoken with Saudi Arabia's King Salman about missing journalist and Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.  Trump wrote: "Just spoke to the King of Saudi Arabia who denies any knowledge of whatever may have happened 'to our Saudi Arabian citizen.' He said that they are working closely with Turkey to find answer. I am immediately sending our Secretary of State to meet with King!"  In an interview with CBS' '60 Minutes' broadcast the night prior, Trump said of the situation: "There's a lot at stake…We're going to get to the bottom of it and there will be severe punishment."  CNBC reports that Khashoggi was last seen on October 2 as he entered the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.  The government of Turkey believes Khashoggi, a vocal critic of the Saudi royal family, was murdered.  Saudi Arabia is participating in an investigation into Khashoggi's disappearance.
