ARMAND VAN HELDEN classic house set at Seismic Dance Event, Austin, Texas
This year, Mixmag has teamed up with Seismic Dance Event for its inaugural edition in Austin, Texas to bring you streams of Armand Van Helden and Justin Jay (watch here: https://youtu.be/JsnbmrJAOOc)
For well over two decades, Armand Van Helden has been a pioneer and esteemed icon of dance music. Working his way up the house music realm alongside names like Todd Terry, Erick Morillo, Masters at Work and labels Strictly Rhythm, Henry St., Logic and more. He broke out beyond his established position in house music when he began remixing iconic names like the Rolling Stones, Janet Jackson, Daft Punk and more.
Austin, Texas welcomes a new contender to its scene called Seismic Dance Event, an event designed especially with house and techno aficionados in mind. Organized by local promoters RealMusic Events, the two-day event (taking palce on September 21 and 22) is taking advantage of the one-of-a-kind environment at the luscious Carson Creek Ranch with three stages and plenty of dancefloor-ready talent. Along with Armand Van Helden and Justin Jay, headliners include Green Velvet, Duke Dumont, Claptone, Lane 8, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, the Desert Hearts crew and more.
