The 7.5 magnitude earthquake that rocked Palu in Sulawesi, Indonesia on September 28 triggered a series of events, including a tsunami and soil liquefaction, which turned the ground to jelly. Footage shows people running to find solid ground as buildings shifted and collapsed around them. Some neighbourhoods were swept away by rivers of mud.
