A man was winched to safety by Surf Life Saving Queensland’s rescue chopper on Wednesday, October 3, after his boat ran aground at the Gold Coast Seaway, Gold Coast Bulletin reported.The 76-year-old had cuts to his legs and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, according to the ABC.7 news reported a recreational drone delayed the rescue by several minutes while the crew waited for it to land, renewing calls for drone operators to exercise caution around the southeast Queensland coast.
