New Ape 50 Euro 4

There is no doubt that Ape 50 is the world's smallest and most generous commercial vehicle. It is also the 'youngest', in that it can be driven with the Italian provisional licence from the age of 14. With an engine displacement of just 50 cc, “the Apino”, born in 1969, quickly became an inseparable work companion, thanks to a load capacity that seems incredible given its reduced dimensions, which in turn allow it to pass along even the narrowest of streets.

Having always kept up with the times - 1994 saw the launch of the first version of the Ape 50 Cross, designed for youngsters who used the Ape as an alternative to two-wheeled transportation - today “the Apino” gets a brand-new look, with an innovative 50 cc two stroke engine complete with cut off system, secondary air and expansion chamber, able to respect the strict Euro 4 emissions standard without sacrificing performance.

In addition to the new Euro 4 engine, it boasts a number of technical and design updates that highlight the practicality and versatility of Ape 50, for a look that is both “fresh” and appealing. On the technical front, the main update regards the braking system, with a new combined hydraulic system (front-rear) with pedal control, for increased comfort and safety while driving. Inside, the instrument panel has been fully updated in terms of its design and position and now features a fuel level indicator as well as a fuel reserve light, while the graphics are both more appealing and easier to read.
