Queensland, AUSTRALIA based singer/songwriter Robert Cini is an award winning songwriter who has captured the attention of many national and international music industry professionals. Born and bred in Innisfail, Robert finds himself back home in FNQ after 7 years playing Brisbane’s music scene.
Robert has won an Australian Songwriters Award for his song 'Haven't You Noticed' at the gala ASA awards night in Sydney. He gave a show stopping live performance of the song to the industry strong crowd. The song is off his latest EP which has sold well at live gigs, online and is currently receiving regular airplay on commercial radio in Queensland.
Robert has also been a top 5 finalist in other major Australian song competitions such as the 'Musicoz Awards' in the most competitive category of 'Pop', and The Glenn Shorrock Music Scholarship Award. His music was recognised amongst thousands of artists from around the country by one of Australia's most successful recording artists Glenn Shorrock ('The Little River Band') who was quoted talking about Cini '"Great voice, engaging commercial sound, fabulous".. Robert performed along with 5 other finalists at Lyndoch Uncorked Festival in the Barossa Valley.
Robert’s song ‘Give it a Shot!’ was selected for a US compilation album by a Californian record label, and is track 1 on the album and the first single. Robert has received feedback from US radio stations saying the song is getting airplay. More International recognition has come about with honorable mentions and finalist spots for several of Robert's songs in some of the world's most recognised songwriting competitions.
A health and career disruptive recent 36 months has seen Robert successfully overcome and recover from Thyroid Cancer and Vocal issues, to be back better than ever and currently working on the release of his debut full length album later this year. Promising bigger and better songs!
