The 3 time J-League champions accounted for Kashima Antlers by a goal to nil, to move 2 points clear on the points table.

Elsewhere, Kawasaki Frontale disposed of Gamba Osaka two nil to maintain their unbeaten start to the season…

And Shimizu S-Pulse picked up the second win of their campaign, an entertaining 3-1 defeat of Consadole.
