Massive forest fire near Berlin; 100s evacuated from their homes

Forest fires break out near Berlin, hundreds forced to evacuate. Residents of three villages outside Berlin have been forced to evacuate to escape several forest fires threatening to burn out of control. The blaze is located in an area laden with munitions, increasing the risk. More than 300 firefighters scrambled to fight a violent blaze outside of Berlin forcing the complete evacuation of the villages of Frohnsdorf, Klausdorf and Tiefenbrunnen. Loudspeaker announcements told residents to leave their homes and take only their most important possessions, such as identification papers and medicines.
