Jin Air licence crisis, government decides not to cancel license
  • 6 years ago
South Korean airline Jin Air will keep its license and be allowed to stay in business.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said on Friday it has decided not to cancel Jin Air's license following a thorough review of the airline.
But the ministry has decided to place restrictions on new routes, new aircraft registration, and non-scheduled flights.
The ministry had been investigating Jin Air over allegations of abuse of power, after discovering Cho Hyun-min, the younger daughter of Korean Air Chairman Cho Yang-ho served as a board member of Jin Air between 2010 and 2016.
