1992 British F2 crash at Brands Hatch

Watch this tasty clip from the 1992 British F2 championship race at Brands Hatch as Craig Baird in the Dome F102-Mugen and Mark Albon and Peter Kox in their Reynard 91D-Cosworth machines crash on the first corner.

The British Formula 3000 series ran between 1989 and 1996 and from 1992 it was renamed and known as British Formula 2.

The series crowned seven champions between 1989 and 1996, featuring Gary Brabham, Paul Warwick, Yvan Muller, Pedro Chaves,Jose Luis di Palma, Philippe Adams and Gareth Rees. Sadly, Paul Warwick, younger brother of F1 driver Derek, tragically lost his life in the series and was awarded the crown posthumously. O

Other drivers who competed in the series included Damon Hill, Alain Menu, Roland Ratzenberger, Fredrik Ekblom, Perry McCarthy, Jason Watt and Rickard Rydell.
