For the World Rally Championship, the 1980s was a decade of drama, controversy, triumph, tragedy and, most importantly, Champions. In this action-packed DVD we meet every World Rally Champion from a turbulent time, as well as the cars they drove.
Explosive archive footage from famous events like the RAC, Monte-Carlo and 1000 Lakes rallies charts the road to victory of the seven men who would reign supreme in the 1980s, and recalls the awesome skills, bitter rivalries and fierce competition which made this such an unforgettable era.
Rally Champions of the 1980s recalls the story of each title battle, with edge-of-the-seat footage from the special stages of the world showing these greats at their best. We discover how the stars overcame the odds and each other to claim championship glory, and what else the decade held in store for these legends.

This DVD also pays tribute to two other great names of the 1980s, title contender Michelle Mouton, the first woman to win a World Rally Championship event, and the incredible Markku Alen, who held the title for just a handful of days in 1986.
