In response to President Moon Jae-in's Liberation Day speech on Wednesday,... where he emphasized a phased negotiation between the U.S. and North Korea in their talks,.... the U.S. says, it's working closely with Seoul.
State Department Spokesperson Katina Adams said.... South Korea is one of Washington's closest allies, and their partnership is based on the shared values of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
She added.... the two countries are closely coordinating on the North Korea issue.
This comes as President Moon highlighted inter-Korean economic projects in his speech.... and urged the U.S. to take appropriate measures for Pyongyang's complete denuclearization.
