Sales of European vehicles exported to South Korea have doubled during the past five years.
According to European Automobile Manufacturers Association, the number of European cars exported to South Korea last year was one-hundred and eighty-four thousand, which is double the amount of ninety-four thousand in 2012.
Such trend marked South Korea as the 7th largest car export market in the EU last year. Meanwhile, South Korea’s auto exports to Europe only rose by thirteen percent.
Experts say that South Korean auto manufacturers’ focus on local production may have affected the poor growth.
