New UNSC guidelines aim to speed up delivery of humanitarian aid to North Korea

The UN Security Council has adopted new guidelines aimed at speeding up the delivery of humanitarian aid to North Korea.
The Netherlands, which chairs the Security Council's committee that monitors sanctions, said none of the 15 Council members objected to the proposed guidelines by the Monday afternoon deadline.
The guidelines recommend that governments and NGOs submit requests for exemptions in a letter form containing ten specific elements,... including detailed descriptions and quantities of the items to be imported.
The guidelines will now be sent to all 193 UN member nations.
