S. Korea registered more than 52,000 new corporations in H1

In the first half of the year, more than 52-thousand corporations were newly registered here in Korea.
The most since that figure was first compiled in 2000.
According to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups… that number increased by almost 7-percent… compared to the same period last year.
Breaking it down by industry, new firms in the wholesale and retail businesses accounted for the largest portion at almost 23 percent.
Manufacturing and construction industries followed… with more than 17-percent and 10-percent, respectively.
Compared to the H1 last year, the numbers of new companies in wholesale and retail were both up almost 20 percent.
