The OG Nike Air Rift Colorway was named after the Rift Valley in Kenya, which was inspired by the long distance runners of the Kenyan track team back in 1996. The national team were looking for a sneaker that complimented their barefoot running style across all sorts of uneven terrain. This OG colorway therefore represents the three colours of the Kenyan flag.
