Brush fire breaks out near dam outside Los Angeles

A brush fire was reported near the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area in Irwindale, northeast of Los Angeles, on July 5. Firefighters and water-dropping helicopters on the scene battled the 15-acre fire, which was burning near a homeless encampment. The cause of the blaze has not been determined.
