A senior North Korean foreign affairs official is now in Moscow, en route to Cuba.
Ri Su-yong, the Vice Chairman of the central committee of Pyongyang's ruling Workers' Party who's in charge of Pyongyang's foreign affairs in general,... is said to be heading to Cuba for a five-day stay starting Thursday.
And he'll be making stops in Moscow before and after his Cuba visit.
The purpose of his visit to Cuba and Moscow is not known.
Some watchers believe Ri's visit is to strengthen North Korea's party-to-party exchanges with Cuba after the change in leadership there in April.
But there's also speculation that the visits may have something to do with Pyongyang's denuclearization talks with the United States.
