Young South Korean football talent Lee Kang-in confirms that he has no plans to apply for naturalization in Spain.
According to Lee's father on Tuesday,… the 17-year-old South Korean football prodigy is not planning to naturalize as a citizen of Spain,... where he has lived for more than 8 years.
Valencia-based newspaper Superdeporte reported on Monday.... that the Spanish football association had been pursuing Lee Kang-in's naturalization for the past three years,… and that Lee has met the 8-year residency qualification to acquire Spanish citizenship since the end of last month.
Lee is currently playing for Spanish club Valencia CF,… but has played for South Korea's Under-19 national team, scoring two goals in three matches in June.
