आयरलैंड के खिलाफ पहले टी20 में छठे ओवर के दौरान शिखर धवन के हेलमेट पर गेंद लग गई. तेज गेंदबाज पीटर चेस ने धवन को बाउंसर फेंकी जो सीधे धवन के हेलमेट पर लगी. इसके बाद शिखर धवन ने चेस की गेंद पर एक लंबा छक्का लगाया. धवन का गुस्सा दूसरे आयरिश गेंदबाजों पर भी निकला. धवन ने अपनी पारी में 5 चौके और 5 छक्के लगाए. मतलब शिखर धवन ने छक्के-चौकों से ही अर्धशतक लगा दिया. शिखर धवन 16वें ओवर में केविन ओब्रायन की गेंद पर आउट हुए.
