More than 10-thousand children were killed or maimed in armed conflicts last year. According to the UN's annual "Children and Armed Conflict" report, in Yemen, of some 13-hundred child deaths or injuries... at least half were the result of aerial and ground attacks by Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates on anti-government rebels. In South Sudan, about 12-hundred children were forced to serve as soldiers. The youngest child soldier who died was only 11 years old. More than 21-thousand childrens' rights violations, such as sexual abuse, also occured last year, a sharp increase from 2016.
