Don't listen to 'Monolevel' for three seconds then dismiss it as nothing special. You'll be out and you'll hear someone like DJ Sneak or Ralph Lawson play it and suddenly it'll sound great, that's because they know this is pure jacking dancefloor heaven. You don't need to do too much to a groove if you've got the right ingredients. Jesse Rose and Solid Groove's Dave Taylor have made a simple, jackin', tech houser that out sneaks DJ Sneak. A tough B-line snippet rubs up against a small loop of lush strings and the track keeps the tension right on the edge. 'What Night' is a riff based filter fodder track with an intelligent twist in its tail while 'Yes...No' is a funky down tempo jaunt with delectable quirky surprises.
