Guti 'Desidia' (Nic Fanciulli Remix)

Guti’s ‘Rompecorazones’ album released in May 2014 exemplified his love of Jazz, piano and Latin rhythms, going back to his musical roots where he started off as a pianist. Anticipating the release of ‘Rompecorazones Remixed’, where some of the finest acts in electronic music have remixed these deeply personal records, Guti is releasing a three-track album sampler. Carl Craig has taken the track ‘El Solitario’, an almost melancholic piano track and transformed to something tech-y and dark yet maintaining the fundamental tone of the track with the piano itself being hardly altered. For Nic Fanciulli’s remix of ‘Desidia’ the track becomes more up-tempo and club oriented. Although the original ‘Desidia’ is not as mellow as some of the other tracks on ‘Rompecorazones’ Fanciulli still makes it much more of a dance track yet, like Carl Craig, he still maintains the soul of the original. Unlike the other two remixes Reboot keeps the mellower feel of the original track, the piano remains the dominant feature, although the tempo is faster than the original it is still more a homage to the original than a re-work to make it ready for the dancefloor.
