Would you take a one way ticket to Mars?

Mars One is a Netherlands based company who by 2025, want to have a permanent human colony on mars The company was established by dutch entrepreneur Bas Lansdorp in 2011.

It will start in 2018, a demonstration mission and communication satellite will be sent to mars, then in 2020 a rover will be sent, this rover will find the perfect living location for the humans, then in 2022 six cargo spaceships containing all the important equipment will be sent to mars followed by four selected astronauts in 2024, that will arrive on mars in 2025. A first in human history.
