This dramatic footage shows the moment a coastguard helicopter rescued a climber from the incoming tide after a 30ft cliff fall.

The casualty was hoisted to safety along with his fellow climbing partner after his long tumble - shortly before he would have been washed away.

Police alerted HM Coastguard to their plight just before 5pm on Sunday after the man fell off the cliff near Sharpness Point, Morwenstow, Cornwall.
